Written in response to Colleen’s Tanka Tuesday, #TasteTheRainbow Challenge.

the rain-drenched landscapes
dust settled down, washed away
their colours appear
vivid and layered with nature
and some rainbow promises

someday when shadows
of the past washes away
all that remains are
beautiful tinges of hope
shoots of life in strengths of jade

seashells, each unique
just like people, tell stories
in many colors
shapes and sizes, though we share
the same blue sky and blue sea

New Beginning

Sadje has given yet another beautiful image as prompt for this week’s #whatdoyousee challenge. Here’s what I came up with. 😊

shadows of the past
fading out in the bright lights
of hopeful future

This year hasn’t been good to most of us. There has been a lot of unpredictability and fear that it is very easy to get carried away and turn pessimistic. But, when I look at my dinner table crowded with the smiling faces of my favourite people, life seems not so bad at this moment. As drinks and conversations flow, with laughter and twinkling eyes, I take in the whole scene to realise that at this instant, I have everything I can ever ask for.

friends and families
we are all alive and here
it’s a thankful year
